Wujal Wujal Aboriginal Shire Council

Award-winning local government website and community forum

Winner of the Local Government Management Award Queensland 2018 for Innovation for a unique communications solution to living in a remote rural community. A lifeline for local residents and visitors to the remote North Queensland community, this website provides local council information, emergency alerts and updates. Foundry delivered the website strategy, design, development, content and local community training to ensure that residents and local businesses all benefit from the website and forums.

We also created this beautiful Welcome to Country video. Warning: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander viewers are warned that this website may contain images and voices of deceased persons.

Foundry shaped the user experience and contributed insightful new ideas to ensure that the needs of our remote and predominantly indigenous audience were respected in all communication elements. Working with Foundry was highly rewarding and I will not hesitate to engage them again – especially for projects requiring an understanding of cultural sensitivities matched with quality and creative campaign solutions.
